Fifth Care Home Site Acquired by Boutique Care Homes
Boutique Care Home have successfully acquired the care home site in Hythe, Kent at the former Smiths Medical centre on Boundary Road in partnership with Roddy New Homes Ltd .
The 66-bedroom scheme is located in the south west of the town, with the Boutique Care Homes acquisition team noting “the favourable demographics and excellent transport links making the case for a care home clear.”
The site acquired by Boutique Care Homes had been vacant since Smiths Medical relocated all staff to Ashford at the end of 2017, demolition took place in 2018. As part of a wider regeneration project for this brownfield site, the new care home will also sit alongside a development of 97 houses on the rest of the site.

Following a reserved matters planning application in the next few weeks, construction on the care home will commence in late 2023 with Boutique Care Homes committing over £10 million in investment into the local area. The care home will also generate over 70 new jobs as well as bringing a new standard of luxury and family centred care to the area.
With operational homes in Shepperton Surrey, Newmarket Suffolk and Broadstairs Kent – Boutique Care Homes have also recently acquired a fourth site in Burgess Hill, West Sussex. The Hythe development marks the fifth confirmed new home for Boutique Care Homes, making the provider one of the most exciting care home developer / operators in the South East.
