The Chartwell Post Spring 2025: Book Launches, Community Spirit, and Award-Winning Care
Explore The Chartwell Post Spring 2025 edition featuring Gerald Gold’s debut children’s book, the inspiring life story of Pauline Gladman, and our Top 20 Care Home recognition in the South East.
Spring has arrived, and so has the latest edition of The Chartwell Post, filled with stories of creativity, connection, and celebration at Chartwell House.
This edition highlights the fantastic launch of resident Gerald Gold’s debut children’s book, Two Tree Island, which he read to visiting schoolchildren on World Book Day. It was a wonderful occasion that brought residents and the local community together, while also raising funds for Books For Africa.
We’re also proud to share that Chartwell House has been named one of carehome.co.uk’s Top 20 Care Homes in South East England 2025 — a fantastic recognition of the personalised care and vibrant community spirit we’re so proud of.
One of our favourite features is the inspiring life story of Pauline Gladman, whose life has been filled with travel, music, and resilience, from performing as a trained soprano to adventures across Europe and Canada. Plus, don’t miss Edith’s much-loved family recipe for homemade sausage rolls — the perfect addition to your springtime gatherings!
